Call Forth a Fox selected for the CBC Favorites Award
April 2025 – Call Forth a Fox is a Children’s Book Council (CBC) Favorites Award winner, earning a spot on the 2025 CBC 9th-12th Grade Teacher Favorites List.
Each year, children, teens, teachers, and librarians across 50 states read newly published K-12 grade books and vote for the ones they like best. The books with the most votes become the annual CBC Favorites Awards Lists, a group of 12 lists showcasing new books that young readers, teachers, and librarians loved reading. The CBC then promotes these lists nationally as resources for all educators and children’s book lovers. Learn more and find all the lists here.

February 2025 – Page Street YA will publish my next YA novel, The Redwood Bargain, in winter 2026. The story is a sapphic fairy tale inspired by the Brothers Grimm and Downton Abbey.
Call Forth a Fox selected for ALA’s Rainbow Book List
January 2025 – Call Forth a Fox was selected for the American Library Association’s 2025 Rainbow Book List, a compilation of quality books celebrating LGBTQIA+ youth and families.
Out of 550 titles assessed by the committee, over 175 made the final list. All titles were released between July 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

August 6, 2024 – The Ukrainian edition of Call Forth a Fox, translated by Anna Kravchuk, will release in September 2024 from Laboratory.

NOVEMBER 2023 – The cover for Call Forth a Fox is now live! Designed by Laura Benton and illustrated by Gaby Verdooren, the gorgeous art showcases some of the novel’s main characters, including protagonist Ro and her sister, Eirwyn.
